These are from my Impressionism digital series wherein I try to redo some of the most well-known works of art. I segment each piece into discrete, simplified sections. Each ‘impression’ comes in two flavors: The ones denoted with ‘calculated’ are made by averaging every RGB value of every pixel in each small section. The ones denoted as ‘subjective’ are produced by selecting certain RGB values within each section that stick out more in my mind while looking at the source image.  This attributes to the ‘subjective’ re-presentations of the works looking more like the originals, perhaps.

I think that I enjoy doing these and would welcome suggestions of great works that I should bastardize next.
